Dr. Jeffrey Boehme and Dr. Phillip Vito both graduated from optometry school in Philadelphia in the mid 1980’s. Since both came from the South Hills of Pittsburgh, they had strong desires to return home after graduation. In 1991 Allegheny Vision Associates was born with the idea of providing more thorough eye exams because of better trained doctors and larger selection of quality products at lower costs. In 1998 Dr. Boehme bought, remodeled and expanded our current location to keep overhead costs at a minimum. A full service optical lab was installed in 2016. This allows us to provide faster service while giving our patients less expensive but better quality products.

Over the course of the last thirty years it is clear by our practice growth that our goal of providing a better quality eye exam, and larger selection of quality products at better prices has made us the perfect blend for all your eye care needs.
